The plight of the Chibok girls has attracted sympathy and outrage from all over the world, but 5 months later, they are still missing.

The over 200 schoolgirls were kidnapped from Chibok in Borno on April 14, 2014 by Boko Haram members.

The continued captivity of the Chibok girls leads us to ask the following  5 questions:
  1. Where are they? It is widely believed that the abducted girls are being held in Sambisa forest, a Boko Haram stronghold. However, this belief has not been confirmed.

  2. How many of them are left? Could terrorists be expected to leave over 200 girls unscathed? How many of them have been able to survive the trauma of imprisonment?

  3. What has been done to them? Boko Haram members are not known for their mercy; what horrors have they meted out on the innocent girls being held by them?

  4. Will they ever come back? The Chibok girls have been in captivity for 5 months and the question on many minds now is, will our girls ever come home?

  5. What is being done to rescue them? The Nigerian government has constantly stated that it is doing everything possible to ensure that the girls are brought back home. There have been rumours of negotiations between the sect and the government but nothing has been confirmed. This leads us to ask: what exactly is being done to bring the missing Chibok girls back home?
